Liked the book - Not much more I can add August 10, 2010 Alan Davis (Alhambra, Ca) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Took me about 4 hours to read, very easy to understand. Not much m ore I can add since the other reviews have said everything positive.
It's a good read so I recommend it.
Easy to read, simple to follow and right on point. July 31, 2010 JMorrison If you are interested in real estate investing, there are a plethora of options ranging from Foreclosures to IRS sales. It can be quite overwhelming, especially for a beginner.
I bought my 1st piece of investment real estate almost 30 years ago so I consider myself pretty well versed.
I really enjoyed this book. I would go so far as to say I wish every book was written the way this book was written. Easy to read, easy to understand and most definitely written by people who have been in the business for a while.
I bought this book to expand my knowledge on a form of investing I wanted to try. I know that laws are ever changing and vary from state to state so while this book is very well written and includes lots of great information, make sure you do your research; especially before you make a purchase.
If you want to read about an exciting way to buy property, pick this book up.

Good Book... May 20, 2010 Dave Farris (Miami, Florida USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I own about 20 books on real estate. I have been investing for 20 years. Really good information in this book. These guys seem genuine which is a first in the real estate game.
No nonsense book explained in a way everyone should be able to understand May 8, 2010 Miriam Blaylock (San Diego, Ca) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this book approximately 6 weeks ago and wanted to read it twice before I left to review. This is my fourth book on tax deed sales. It's probably the last one I will buy because I finally found the information I was looking for.
The other 3 books I purchased fell well short of expectations so I had mixed feelings about buying another one but was pleasantly surprised this time.
The book starts out by giving a good explanation of how the tax deed process works and the difference between tax liens and tax deeds. If you are looking for a book on tax liens look elsewhere because this is not covered in detail. I didn't really want information about tax liens so I wasn't too bothered by this.
The book then goes into explaining how to contact owners and how you should research the properties. This is very important as I've found as most books skip over the research information, this was one of my favorite parts of the book as well as the chapters on property evaluation. It's hard during this real estate market trying to figure out what houses are worth, but the book gives a good explanation of how you can figure this out.
The section in the book on liens (not tax liens but rather government liens on the properties) is also terrific. I was really surprised by some of the information I read.
Real estate investing isn't for everyone, but if it's something you are interested in pursuing this book is definitely worth the price tag. In my opinion tax deed investing is far superior to foreclosures due to its low competition.
I highly recommend picking up this book.
Well worth the price... April 27, 2010 Craig Cole (Phoenix, Az) I usually don't write reviews (how many times have you read that as opening line on Amazon?) but I really like this book and wanted to mention a couple of things.
The book is well worth it's asking price. In fact I think it's too cheap (authors if you read this, you are giving away a ton of valuable info for a bargain price so thanks!)
I believe Tax Deed sales offer far greater opportunities than Foreclosures, especially in this market.
This book is definitely worth a read, it only took me a day to go through it as it's a very easy read.
