The realtor's essential guide to harnessing true earning power

How to Become a Power Agent in Real Estate gives real estate agents both the powerful sales techniques and the practical management tips they need to double their income by closing more transactions. Based on the outstanding success of Darryl Davis's seminar "The POWER Program," this motivational guide utilizes POWER Principles to help the new agent as well as the experienced top producer dramatically increase listings and sales.

The book is full of Davis's surefire methods for managing the sales process, including time management for agents, prospecting for listings, handling the seller's and buyer's concerns, maintaining a winning attitude, and generating more sales in less time. He also reveals how clever use of the Web can provide a competitive edge and how the top producers work smarternot harder. Offering field-proven tools and techniques, Davis shows agents how to progress at their own pace to their own personal Next Level and accelerate their entry into Top Agent status.

3 out of 5 stars Same Material Found Elsewhere   May 14, 2010
HappyShopper303 (Farmington, CT)
As a real estate professional who had hit a plateau in my business, I was looking for a few ideas on how to take my business to the next level. I was somewhat disapointed in this book, for I certainly thought I would have seen some fresh ideas on how to grow my business. I like that the author provides sample scripts for each situation that can be customized to your own style, and that he dedicates a whole chapter to objection handling- a topic that many how-to real estate books either spend too little time on or don't mention at all. I also like that he gives action plans for prospecting, getting started and getting to the next level, etc. But this book, as well as a lot of the scripts found in it, seems to be a rehash of Floyd Wickman's "Successful Strategies for Real Estate Agents". Floyd's book, though written in 1987, is a better read in my opinion for those wanting to get back to the fundamentals of building their business and taking it to the next level. I also thought Hopkins' "Master the Art of Listing and Selling Real Estate" was a better read than this book. I would suggest these as a starting point for anyone starting out or looking to grow in this business. And while you're at it, pick up Gary Keller's "Millionaire Real Estate Agent", Loren Keim's "Real Estate Prospecting", and Dirk Zeller's "Champion Real Estate Agent" and you'll have yourself a collection of invaluable information that will not only impart on you the tools you need to build your business up but also help you take it to any level in no time.

5 out of 5 stars Real life skills for you to be a top listing agent.   August 15, 2009
Henry Hsieh (Canada)
Real life skills for you to be a top listing agent.

A Five Stars book.
This is the best real estate book for all level agents from new agents to top agents.
This book reveals all the real life skills for you to be a top agent.
I personally like the book hits the key points without lengthy wordings.
It is easy to read, and easy to implement.
You will learn the skills for prospecting, farming, direct marketing, leads generation,
and how to convert the leads to appointment, listing signed, then selling to closing.
The important thing is "do you practise those skills into your real life?"
After you implement those skills into your real life, you will soon become a top listing agent in your area.
This is the top one book that I asked all my new agents to read it over in their first week,
and review with me once a week for their implementation.
I also suggest all the experienced agents to review it over and over again.
Each time we review the book, we will find some key skills that are important for our success.
If your goal is for one listing every week, this is the best book for your guidance.
I will be happy to share my experience with you for how good this book is.

5 out of 5 stars Best RE book on the market   June 2, 2009

Best RE book on the market. I have read a few and this is incredibly easy to read plus it covers all topics. Best one so far!

5 out of 5 stars Buy this book!   November 20, 2008
N. Markova (NJ)
I love it so much that I borrowed my brokers copy and now and buying my own so I can refer to it over and over again.

I learned more than any training session as I love to read and take things at my own pace and the objection chapter is invaluable.

Finally a trainer who actually puts information in his books rather than using them as a marketing tool for a training program.

Davis gives up so many ideas I would have never thought of and has a sense of humor to boot.

The PERFECT book for a new or motivated to improve agent!

I have both of Dirk Zeller's books and they are such a disappointment I can't even get through them as he won't explain his methods and it frustrates me as I end up with unanswered questions. Davis goes through every step with you. 6 stars!
